My Love Affair with Spinach..

well mostly spinach anyway. Even though I don't always eat blogworthy food I do take photos. Anyway, I noticed a pattern emerging in the last week and a bit.

Sautee'd silverbeet (chard, swiss chard) on top of rice and millet pasta and topped with Esme's Special Sauce:

Sautee'd spinach with Joni from Just the Food's Garlicky Ranch Potato Patties:
Sautee'd Spinach with pine nuts I think, with canneloni (from a frozen box *blush*):
Veganomicons Sautee'd Spinach and Mushrooms with White Wine Sauce (I LOVE this dish and could eat it happily every single night, shown with Julies steamed seitan sausages):
Sautee'd spinach again with the addition of pine nuts and Vegan Yum Yums Bubble and Squeak Cakes (which were extremely delicious although more work than I was prepared for at the time but the kids ate white potato for the first time in years thanks to these):
And after all that greenery I just thought I'd share a photo of the beautiful flowers Mr UnVeg arrived home with for my birthday:
Finally I would like to say that for some reason my search function at the top has disappeared even though it is enabled. Likewise for my recipe index and blog list page links in the sidebar (which show up under my edit feature but for some reason not on my blog). I can't seem to fix it and have a solution but for now you can find it here.

Wow, that was quick :P Yes! Sauteed silverbeet is delicious!

And the flowers were gorgeous. Half of them are gone now (I'm hanging desperately onto the last 2 flowers that don't look terrible :( )

Well, I haven't been here in a while, but all of a sudden I can't see your pictures and the text is grey on very deep red, which is hard to read. Hmm, I will try checking it again from my home computer, though.

Susan thank you! And me too!

Jessy, haha, go eat some :P At least they're good for you right?

Amy, ugh, it could be another issue with my blog (they seem to be never ending at the moment) but usually that happens when the page isn't loading properly. If you refresh it it should be right (or maybe the connection is buggy or something, it happens to me too sometimes).

Everything looks so good! I love spinach too. And my... your meals are balanced!

What a great bunch of greens! I haven't had Esme's Sauce in so long. I had forgotten how good it is. And both of the potato patties look like something I need to try very soon.

Sanja, thanks! And wow, I hadn't noticed. I'm a terrible vegetarian! I just eat what tastes good together :P I pay almost zero attention to nutrition (I do try to eat variety but that about covers it I think :P)

atx, I know! I do that too! Put a recipe in my binder then don't have it for so long I forget how wonderful it is (and I did that with Esme's sauce until this post too :P).

Miss V I'm glad I'm not alone! My husband always thinks I'm slightly spinach crazy! There is always a massive bag in the fridge and plenty of the frozen stuff in the freezer (but the fresh is way better!)

Yum, I love spinach! The bubble and squeak looks soooo good! I will have to make these soon. I love mixing leftovers to make something new and delicious!

Sarena, haha, me too in case you couldn't tell :P I wish I had that talent. Sadly I seem to just leave leftovers hanging out in the fridge until they head for the bin *blush*
